Terms of Service

Last updated: September 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Archive777.org and related Archive777 websites, accounts, document catalogues, research tools, artificial intelligence services, subscription services, and other features made available by Archive777 (collectively, the "Service").

Archive777 is operated from Ontario, Canada.

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using portions of the Service that require acceptance of these Terms, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Archive777 Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account, purchase a subscription, or use account-based portions of the Service.

1. Purpose of Archive777

Archive777 is a research and document-access platform designed to help users locate, review, search, compare, and analyze documentary material.

Archive777 may provide access to a public document catalogue, Research Collections, artificial intelligence tools, document-search capabilities, citations, source links, and related research features.

Archive777 does not tell users what they must believe. Users are encouraged to examine source material, evaluate evidence, verify claims, and reach their own conclusions.

2. Public Document Catalogue

Archive777 may provide a document catalogue that can be browsed or accessed without creating a user account.

Access to the public document catalogue is separate from account-based features and paid subscription services.

The availability of a document in the catalogue does not constitute an endorsement by Archive777 of the document's contents, claims, accuracy, authors, publishers, organizations, or viewpoints.

Documents may be added, reorganized, corrected, replaced, restricted, or removed as the archive develops.

Archive777 does not guarantee that every catalogue entry, source link, document, metadata field, or external reference will remain permanently available.

3. Accounts

Certain features, including Archive777's AI and account-based research services, require a registered account.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You may not knowingly permit unauthorized persons to use your account or attempt to circumvent account, access, subscription, security, or usage controls.

Archive777 may use email verification, authentication controls, session management, security measures, or other mechanisms to protect accounts and the Service.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account to the extent reasonably within your control.

4. Research Collections

Archive777 organizes certain research material into subject-oriented collections referred to as Research Collections.

Availability of Research Collections may depend on account or subscription level.

Free and Basic users may receive access to Standard Research Collections.

Premium users may receive access to Standard Research Collections, selected new Research Collections before broader release, and Research Collections designated as Premium-exclusive.

Archive777 does not guarantee a particular number of Research Collections, a particular release schedule, or permanent availability of any individual Research Collection.

Collections may be added, reorganized, renamed, expanded, restricted, or removed as the Service develops.

5. Artificial Intelligence and Research Tools

Archive777 may provide artificial intelligence and automated research tools to assist users in searching, analyzing, summarizing, comparing, and locating information within available research material.

AI-generated responses may contain errors, omissions, incomplete interpretations, or inaccurate statements.

Users should consult the underlying documents, citations, and source material when accuracy is important.

AI-generated responses are provided for research and informational purposes and should not be treated as professional legal, medical, financial, investment, or other professional advice.

Archive777 does not guarantee that an AI response will identify every relevant document, interpret a document correctly, or produce the same response when a question is asked more than once.

6. Usage Limits and Service Capacity

Archive777 may apply usage limits based on account level, subscription level, available computing capacity, security considerations, fair-use requirements, or operational needs.

Current plans may provide different levels of AI usage and concurrent account access.

A plan described as providing "Unlimited" usage means that a fixed daily question allowance is not ordinarily imposed on that plan. Unlimited usage remains subject to reasonable fair-use, anti-abuse, security, technical, and service-capacity controls.

Archive777 may use queues or other resource-management systems when demand exceeds available processing capacity.

Usage limits and technical controls may be adjusted as the Service develops.

7. Free and Paid Plans

Archive777 may offer Free, Basic, Premium, or other account levels.

The features, prices, usage allowances, Research Collection access, billing intervals, and other characteristics of available plans are displayed through Archive777's account or billing services.

Paid subscriptions provide access to the features associated with the selected subscription while the subscription remains entitled to paid access.

The public document catalogue is not a paid subscription feature merely because paid plans provide additional account or research capabilities.

8. Subscription Billing and Automatic Renewal

Paid Archive777 subscriptions are billed at the price and billing interval presented to you before checkout.

Prices displayed in Archive777 Billing are stated in the currency identified at checkout. Archive777 currently displays paid subscription prices in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or annual billing interval until automatic renewal is cancelled or the subscription otherwise ends.

Before purchasing a paid subscription, you will be informed that the subscription is recurring and provided with information about how automatic renewal may be cancelled.

By completing a paid subscription purchase, you authorize the applicable recurring charges in accordance with the plan, price, and billing interval presented at checkout.

9. Payment Processing

Archive777 uses Stripe to process payments and administer aspects of subscription billing.

Payment information entered through Stripe Checkout is processed through Stripe's payment infrastructure.

Archive777 does not directly collect or store full payment card numbers or card security codes entered through Stripe Checkout.

Archive777 may receive and retain information relating to transactions and subscriptions, including transaction identifiers, customer or subscription identifiers, payment and subscription status, billing information, payment method type, and limited payment-method information made available by Stripe.

Stripe's collection and processing of personal information is also governed by Stripe's own privacy practices.

Additional information is available in the Archive777 Privacy Policy.

10. Subscription Confirmation and Renewal Communications

Archive777 may send transactional communications relating to subscriptions, payments, renewals, cancellation status, failed payments, account status, or other matters necessary to administer a subscription.

Following confirmation of a successful new paid subscription, Archive777 may send a subscription confirmation identifying the selected plan, billing interval, recurring nature of the subscription, and information about managing automatic renewal.

Archive777 may also provide advance notice of an upcoming recurring charge. Such a notice may identify the expected renewal date and amount based on subscription information available at the time the notice is generated.

Transactional subscription and account communications are operational communications and are separate from optional promotional or marketing communications.

11. Managing and Cancelling Automatic Renewal

You may manage your paid subscription or cancel automatic renewal by signing in at Archive777.org and selecting Manage Subscription where available.

Cancellation of automatic renewal prevents future renewal charges.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, cancellation ordinarily does not immediately terminate access that has already been paid for. Paid access ordinarily continues until the end of the applicable current paid billing period.

Deleting an account, abandoning an account, ceasing to use Archive777, or deleting browser data should not be relied upon as a substitute for cancelling an active recurring subscription through the available subscription-management process.

If you experience difficulty managing or cancelling a subscription, contact Archive777 through the Contact Administrator option.

12. Failed or Unsuccessful Payments

If a recurring payment fails, the payment processor may retry the payment in accordance with applicable payment-processing settings and rules.

Archive777 may temporarily continue paid access following a failed payment while payment resolution is attempted.

If payment remains unsuccessful, Archive777 may suspend or restrict paid features, return the account to an available non-paid access level, or otherwise modify subscription access.

Successful resolution of the payment may restore applicable paid access.

Archive777 does not guarantee a fixed grace period following a failed payment.

13. Refunds

Payments are generally non-refundable except where:

  • a refund is required by applicable law;
  • a billing error occurred;
  • a duplicate charge occurred; or
  • Archive777 determines that exceptional circumstances justify a refund.

Cancellation of automatic renewal does not ordinarily produce a prorated refund for the unused portion of an already-paid billing period.

Nothing in these Terms limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Price Changes

Archive777 may change subscription prices.

A change to the price of an existing paid subscription will not ordinarily take effect earlier than a future renewal.

Where appropriate or required by applicable law, Archive777 will provide reasonable advance notice before a changed subscription price applies.

If you do not wish to continue at a changed price, you may cancel automatic renewal before the new price takes effect.

Archive777 does not guarantee permanent grandfathering of existing subscription prices.

15. Taxes and Currency Conversion

Prices may be subject to applicable taxes where required.

If your payment account uses a currency different from the currency charged by Archive777, your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or other financial institution may perform currency conversion and may impose conversion rates or fees.

Archive777 does not control fees or exchange rates imposed by third-party financial institutions.

16. Promotions and Special Access

Archive777 may offer promotional pricing, complimentary access, trials, discounts, lifetime access arrangements, supporter benefits, administrative access, or other special arrangements.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such arrangements do not require Archive777 to offer the same terms to other users.

Specific promotional terms presented when an offer is made may supplement these Terms.

17. Acceptable Use

You may use Archive777 for lawful research, informational, educational, investigative, journalistic, personal, or other lawful purposes.

You may not use the Service to:

  • intentionally interfere with or disrupt Archive777 systems;
  • bypass or attempt to defeat authentication, subscription, security, rate-limit, usage, or access controls;
  • gain unauthorized access to another person's account or Archive777 systems;
  • intentionally introduce malicious code or harmful automated activity;
  • use automated activity in a manner that materially disrupts the Service or prevents reasonable access by other users;
  • fraudulently obtain paid services without payment or authorization; or
  • use Archive777 in violation of applicable law.

Reasonable research activity is not prohibited merely because it is intensive, controversial, skeptical, investigative, or critical.

18. Source Material and Third-Party Content

Archive777 may catalogue, reference, index, link to, preserve, or make searchable documents and information originating from governments, courts, public institutions, archives, organizations, publishers, websites, researchers, or other third parties.

Third-party material remains subject to whatever rights, restrictions, limitations, authenticity issues, or legal status apply to that material.

Archive777 does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, authenticity, legality, continued availability, or reliability of third-party material.

Links to external websites do not constitute endorsement of those websites.

19. Intellectual Property

Archive777 retains rights in its own original website design, branding, software, graphics, organizational material, original written content, and other materials created by or for Archive777, subject to applicable third-party rights.

The inclusion of third-party documents in the Archive777 catalogue does not mean Archive777 claims ownership of those documents.

Users remain responsible for determining whether their intended reuse, republication, distribution, or commercial exploitation of third-party material is legally permitted.

20. Copyright and Rights Concerns

If you believe material available through Archive777 infringes copyright or another legal right, you may contact Archive777 through the Contact Administrator option and provide sufficient information to identify the material and explain the concern.

Archive777 may investigate, restrict, correct, or remove material where appropriate.

Submission of a complaint does not guarantee removal where Archive777 reasonably determines that removal is not required.

21. Availability and Changes to the Service

Archive777 is an evolving service.

Features, Research Collections, documents, models, AI systems, interfaces, subscription offerings, infrastructure, limits, and other components may change.

Archive777 does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Maintenance, equipment failures, network failures, software problems, third-party outages, security incidents, capacity limitations, upgrades, or circumstances outside Archive777's reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.

22. Account Restriction or Termination

Archive777 may restrict, suspend, or terminate account access where reasonably necessary to address:

  • violations of these Terms;
  • fraud or payment abuse;
  • security threats;
  • unauthorized access;
  • material disruption of the Service;
  • legal requirements; or
  • other serious misuse of Archive777.

Where reasonably appropriate, Archive777 may attempt to provide notice or an opportunity to resolve an issue before permanent termination.

Nothing in this section requires Archive777 to maintain access where doing so would create a security, legal, fraud, or operational risk.

23. Account Closure and Subscription Responsibilities

Users may request account closure through available Archive777 account or administrative processes.

An active paid subscription should be managed or cancelled before account closure.

Because payment and subscription records may exist separately from an Archive777 account record, users should not assume that merely ceasing use of the Service constitutes cancellation of recurring billing.

Archive777 may take reasonable steps to resolve an active paid subscription when processing an account-closure request.

Certain records may be retained following account closure where reasonably necessary for payment reconciliation, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legal compliance, as described in the Privacy Policy.

24. Privacy

Archive777's handling of personal information is described in the Archive777 Privacy Policy.

Use of certain third-party services, including Stripe, may also involve processing under those providers' privacy policies and legal obligations.

25. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Archive777 and the Service are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Archive777 does not warrant that:

  • every document is authentic, complete, accurate, or current;
  • every source or external link will remain available;
  • AI-generated responses will be accurate or complete;
  • the Service will operate without interruption or error; or
  • use of Archive777 will produce any particular research outcome.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

26. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Archive777 will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service, third-party material, external websites, AI-generated information, or loss of data or research results.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Archive777's liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law prohibits Archive777 from limiting.

27. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, intentional violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights through material you submit or distribute, or unauthorized interference with Archive777 systems.

This section does not require you to indemnify Archive777 for Archive777's own unlawful conduct.

28. Changes to These Terms

Archive777 may update these Terms as the Service, subscription offerings, technology, legal requirements, or operational practices change.

The current version will identify its effective or last-updated date.

Where a change materially affects users' rights, obligations, or paid subscriptions, Archive777 may provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.

Continued use of the Service following an effective change may constitute acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

Where affirmative consent is legally required, Archive777 may request it separately.

29. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of mandatory protections or rights available under applicable law that cannot contractually be waived.

30. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

31. No Waiver

Failure by Archive777 to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or of Archive777's right to enforce it later.

32. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Archive777 Privacy Policy and any specific terms presented for a particular promotion, subscription, or feature, constitute the agreement governing use of the applicable Archive777 services.

33. Contact

Archive777 is operated from Ontario, Canada.

Questions about these Terms, accounts, subscriptions, billing, rights concerns, or the Service may be submitted through the Contact Administrator option available on Archive777.org.
